What Lies Above
Your training lasts about a month, and it is relatively uneventful. No one is quite sure what's going on, but everyone is convinced that if they just keep their heads down and follow orders they can go home.
You hear a number of conflicting rumours, but from what you can piece together it seems that there is going to be an important state dinner: the "meal" you are going to work at. All you are told by Otis is that there are going to be 'important guests'. You are starting to like the old man, if only because he leaves you alone as long as you don't step out of line.

It is the night before the dinner, meal, or whatever it is. All you can think about is that soon you'll get to go home. You are lying in bed trying to get some sleep when Otis walks into the room where you and the other servants are.
"One of the guests is requesting an assistant, are there any volunteers?"
