“We’re sorry, Captain, Frost left the wing about 10 minutes ago with the Mandiya.”
Strange, I thought, looking over the empty wing. She told me that she would be waiting for me here.
And since when do Mandiya and Rose leave together to unattended business? I thought they hated eachother. When you listen to them bickering like old women on the express to Yavin, then you would understand too.
They stand next to eachother and argue like children.
I nodded to the girl and dismissed her, turning on my heel to walk towards the exit from the bridge. My head hangs low as I try to avoid bumping into Generals and Officers too busy to even notice my presence on said bridge. The robots slide next to my ankles, beeping in their own language something incomprehensible to me. I never really paid attention to Robotics during classes, it was a chore to me. I rubbed my hands together as I exited the room and walked into the significantly less crowded hallway, getting blinded by the white artificial light.
I walked through the corridors towards Rose’s office. My head felt like it was swimming in bacta or like I was sinking under a lukewarm lake, making my head feel filled with water. I couldn’t seem to understand why.
As I was nearing the entrance of Rose’s HQ, I started hearing..noise. If you could call it noise. I looked around myself to make sure no one was around and there were no droids or cameras, and I started sneaking on my tip toes to investigate. There was muffled talking from how much I could make out and I heard a hard slam against the wall with something metallic, then a hushed ‘tsk’.
It was coming from Rose’s office.
