Walking down the corridor, I look for a sign, any sign of the Weasel. My hands palm for the comm link when I hear someone yelling down the right wing, pulling my attention.
When I walk down, I run into Navaien himself and an older General, with Navaien being scolded for some reason unknown. I walk up quickly in between them and notice the reason for the ruckus, Navaien had broken a cleaning bot.
“I’ll work it out, General.” I say quickly, smiling a little awkwardly at the older man. When he stopped talking, and when Navaien looked away from him, I straightened myself up in hopes of him noticing my badge. When the General did and when he recognized who I was, he nodded, slurring a little at Navaien when leaving as he talked to someone through the comm link. I sigh heavily, watching the white haired man leave and turn right down the end of the corridor.
“What a pleasant surprise to see you,” Navaien says, acting as if he was as cool as a dead star when in reality he was ready to piss his pants at the idea of someone figuring him out. I rolled my eyes and pulled at his badge that said “L. Imnis” on it, making him realize where we are. He looked around at the various cameras in the corridor, making him lose the stupid grin.
“Stop being an idiot and listen. I need you with me when going to Canto Bight. Find a way to fuck up /and fix/ a transporter because otherwise Rose can only kick your bucket in hyperspace outside the ship door.” He nodded gently at my words and looked down the hall, sighing.
“I’ll see what I can do. How come you’re going to Bight? Gonna talk with Raller?”
I nod a little, feeling my nerves eat me out like worms on a corpse.
“Hopefully. I need to find out more about this Mandiya business.”
He nods, placing his hands in his pockets. “Thank you, for, uh, that.”
I smile, crossing my arms over my chest. “Yeah, it’s fine. Don’t find yourself in another situation like that, and now scatter.”
He nods and picks up the currently in half droid, as we both walk in different ways as to not look suspicious.
