And All Things Will End

You back away from the implacable beast, placing your sword in between you and it. Aela retreats slowly, swinging the torch repeatedly in a horizontal arc.

"Stay back!" She urges the creature. It does not heed her advice.

The torch connects with the monstrosity. The embers crackle harmlessly against it, the flames themselves rejecting the flesh. The beast grabs Aela with its left hand and brutally strikes her with its right. The blow is deep, and you can hear the snapping of bone. The motion is repeated, this time the strike is leveled at her chest. The ribs give way underneath its force, and her organs are pierced. She cries out in agony, the sound garbled by blood flowing past her lips. Her arm stuggles against the beast, then goes limp.
