Another Monday Morning

The men come upon you, shouting out in Spanish. You can't understand what they are saying. You feel horror-stricken that you have just killed a man, and terrified at what his minions will do to you.

They drag you by the arms and haul you toward an outbuilding on the edge of the property and there you bake in the sun, alone, all day.

Police officers come that evening. You have a feeling it isn't to arrest drug smugglers.

The police transport you to a penitentiary on an island. You are locked in a small cell with a dirty, grim-faced roommate and left there.

Maybe you should have gone to work today instead of taking the day off!

Now the question is, what to do next? You look around your cell, unable to fathom spending the rest of your life there. Whatever happened to a fair trial? You have a feeling you won't ever see the light of day again if you don't take some action.
