Another Monday Morning

Your hand grip its wiry maine frantically. The Zebra has not hurt you yet. For some reason you are not ready to leave its back. With a kind of blind faith you cling to it as it jumps forward, faster now that you could imagine a steed to go, it propels itself toward the side of the cliff. You feel its muscles tense and then it springs,

up,
up,
up,

and away from the ground. As you fly over the dark deep you look down and see a glowing reddness flowing up the walls with every increasing speed. A deep dark blook red that makes the Zebra's glow seem ruddy in comparison.

Suddenlty, you feel the Jolt of landing. The Zebra continues its run. This time toward a dark thone set at the back of the cavern. You see its dusky red-copper glow. And feel the terror that has been seeded in your bones trying to creep out into your skin.

The Zebra starts to slow until you are both standing in front of a Giant dark throne. The Zebra stops and lowers its front right leg until its torso almost touches the ground. You feel a heat beat from the throne that makes your cold skin sweat.
