Cellular Respiration

Your NADH or FADH molecule takes you to the Electron Transport Chain, a series of increasingly electronegative proteins. You, as a hydrogen ion, are released by NADH or FADH2 reduction onto the start of the chain. Because the integral proteins are increasingly electronegative, you are moved along the chain to the outside of the inner bilayer membrane of the mitochondrion, against your concentration gradient.
