Homicide and Havoc on Halloween

You decide to keep walking straight forward, but Octavia notices your friend walking alone, too. Before you can say anything, Octavia yells, "Scarlett! Come trick or treating with us!" as she waves her hands frantically to get Scarlett's attention. Scarlett notices and turns to look. Even though she is trying to conceal it, you notice her face light up with excitement. Octavia starts to walk towards Scarlett, and you end up following end up following her. Octavia takes the lead of your three-sum group, as you and Scarlett awkwardly walk side-by-side. You have to start the conversation, since she isn't going to talk. "Hey, I'm sorry for being mean earlier... I know trick-or-treating means a lot to you, so I shouldn't have been that harsh...," you trail off. Scarlett's gloomy look is erased with a slight smile as she looks up to make eye contact with you. "That's ok. What made you decide to come?" she asks. "Well, I--" You stopped in the middle of your sentence because Octavia just started to run across a really busy street!
