You allow Watson to choose the disguises for following Professor Presbury around, and he had the fun of making you look ridiculous. He found it funny, however, you, did not.
The both of you followed from store to store and home to home, however, nothing seemed to be wrong with him. The most unusual thing he did was drink water with a friend of his at a bar rather than have an actual drink, but that was it. He only seemed to be concerned for his health, considering he was an old man.
You and Watson decide to call off the plan, wait for the next day to visit Camford and fake an appointment, just like you have originally said to do. You were at first a little annoyed that you and Watson did not just do your plan in the first place, but if you don't encourage Watson at times, he will only ever get discouraged and forget you as a friend.
