A Mystical Adventure

You motion for the mayor to take the first drink. It was a gift to him after all. He smiles and takes it up to his lips, taking the very first sip and savoring the flavor before gulping it down.

However, he is rendered speechless as his face turns pale. He looks around dizzily and glances at you in terror, "What have you-" His voice is cut off as he falls back against his chair, his body spasming uncontrollably before he cries out in fear and ceases moving completely.

Before you could get over your shock, you hear the guards rushing towards you and feel a powerful blow against your head, causing you to slump into unconsciousness.
