The Island of Destiny

You decide to push the white button on the metallic dome. When you do, immediately a red light shoots up around you from every angle. As you gaze at the dome, which seems to be emitting the strands of this red light, you see that the dome is actually encasing you and it within ANOTHER dome made of this red light.

You then hear the robotic voice from before: "This protective dome is for you sentient. You must pass through the Great Storm unharmed and then you will be able to leave Island Torleo."

"Huh?" you ask, looking around at nobody in particular. "What storm is coming? Who are you?"

"I am a device enstationed by the Overseers. They have interest in your survival and once the storm passes, it will be your decision whether or not to meet them."

"Is that right? Well, you said that I could also go home. How do I do that?"

"The Overseers will provide a route for you. Don't worry; they brought you here, they can take you back."

"How did they bring me here?"

But the metallic voice does not answer. You ask a few more times, different questions too, but there is still no response. This device has decided that it's given you enough information apparently.

You wait for a few hours and after a while, you doze off in the calm grass...

WAKE UP SENTIENT. WAKE UP SENTIENT.

You are awoken by that robotic voice returning, this time louder than ever. You come to your feet and notice that there is definitely less light now. As you gaze up at the sky, you see great billowing clouds rolling in. In the near distance, lightning shines across the sky, followed by a roaring thunder.

"The storm is approaching sentient. Do not step out from under the red dome."

Then you see at the treeline of the valley, a person dashing across the grass. They are just a shadow now, but they seem to be looking for cover from the beginning onslaught of rain.

"Hey uhh, robot dome," you begin. "Can other people cross into this dome?"

"Yes, but it will take me five minutes to render it harmless for entry."

The storm is getting close. Do you have the five minutes needed to save this person?
