The Island of Destiny
"Smithers, Pulsen, Grays, and Donovan," Buck lists off in a stern, commanding tone. "I think it's time we complete our mission so we can get the hell off this rock. Pulsen you take point with the sniper and Donovan stand back with the grenade launcher."
Pulsen and Donovan walk over to an odd-shaped rock and to your surprise, you discover it's not a rock at all as they lift up a camoflauged tarp from the ground. Underneath you are startled to see lie two sniper rifles, several grenades, and a grenade launcher.
Donovan hastily takes the launcher but you notice Pulsen is visibly shaking as he picks up the sniper rifle.
"B-Buck...are you sure about this?" Pulsen asks nervously. "The file said that she wouldn't be hurt by gu-
Buck waves a hand and Pulsen immediately shuts up. "Don't worry about that Private, just do what you've been trained to do."
Pulsen gives a quick nod, casts a final glance over on you all, then nestles into a position behind a good sized boulder. Donovan also kneels down in the grass, finger already itching on the trigger.
You can still see the girl a few hills over, frantically searching the river bank. A moment later, a loud shot rings out across the entire valley as Pulsen fires a shot. Instantly, the girl's head turns in your direction. Although she is very far away, it looks as if she is raising an arm and pointing a finger at you.
The next thing you now, Pulsen and his sniper rifle evaporate into a bright blue explosion, leaving behind no trace that either existed besides a scorched patch of grass. Donovan then immediately fires his launcher and you watch as a fiery explosion engulfs the girl.
But to your horror, you see her walking out of the smoke not looking any worse for the wear. Buck then shouts "It didn't hurt her men! Retreat, retreat!"
You, Buck, and the rest of the squad quickly collect your things and dash off down the hill, hearing blasting explosions from behind you. You all dash into the jungle and run for about ten more minutes before anyone is brave enough to stop.
Finally when you stop to catch your breath, you see Buck and the others gasping for air. With all their garb and supplies, it's no wonder they're much more exhausted than you.
But your moment to take a breather is ended shortly as you see the girl walking towards you all from the bushes. In her hand she has a
