The Island of Destiny

You and Sabrina spend the next few minutes looking around the rocks, being careful not to tread too close to the cliff edge. As you look, you make a few glances back at Sabrina to see if she has had any more luck. It doesn't seem that way but it does strike your curiosity when you think you see her pick something from the ground and slip it into her pocket. But you can't tell if she was holding something in her hand or just resting her hand there, she's too far away to notice any details like that. So you shrug it off and continue looking around, not meeting very much success.

Then lo and behold, Sabrina calls to you from over where she is standing. She is pointing down off the ledge and as you hurry over to her, you are shocked by what you see.

There, running parallel against the side of the cliff, is a sturdy metal pole leading directly into the ocean. However, the cliff seems to slant inward and you have a good feeling that there may be an inlet of some kind down there. And if there is, well who knows what could be in there? But this pole seems very risky to climb down and you are not sure that the rock wall will be enough support to keep you from just sliding down the pole in one intense motion. Sabrina looks at you with troubled eyes, obviously thinking along the same lines.
