The Great Conflict

You push the door open and quickly swing to the side. As the door opens a wave of energy shoots out and creates a large dent in the wall parallel to it. Several objects come flying out the room directly after the blast and become imbedded in the wall. There is obviously a cleric with kinetic manipulation abilities within the room. A quick peak around the corner reveals that he is alone and has a purple aura around him. You have a couple of options. He looks dangerous so you can take no chances and shoot him with your PEAR. You will aim for non vital areas with this option but your chance of killing him is still fairly high. Still, this method is the safest and most likely to be successful. Alternatively, you can blast him with your energy pistol. So long as you can avoid his kinetic attack for just a fraction of a second, you are at a close enough range where he will be a very easy target. Another thing you have noticed though is the age of this building. The ceiling seems to be made of plaster and bits of stone and is riddled with cracks. You could attempt to cave in the ceiling with your PEAR, but this may not be effective and even so is a risky maneuver that would leave you exposed.
