Legend
Fighting through the physical and mental pain, you dig the gem out and throw it across the room, where upon it hits the wall. Unfortunately your enhanced strength causes it to shatter and a blue mist begins to emanate and a loud laughter follows. Lose 1 permanent SKILL point for the damage from your hand and 1 permanent MIND point for the damage to mental state.
Make a note that you're no longer bonded with a demon.
You're exhausted, but you struggle to get up and out of the house. Most of the greenskins have fled the scene at this point, either having finished their pillaging, or hearing the hideous sound of your mind battle with Azoth. Most of the citizens of Altberg are either dead or dying. There are maybe a few still alive, but they're absolutely wretched looking. You don't think they really recognize you, though to be quite honest you don't recognize any of them either. You just know both know that you're the one that brought doom upon this village.
You think back to all your past deeds since your joining with Azoth. A lot of them were really bad. Some of them you liked. You wonder if it was all Azoth's influenceÂ…or if you would've done them anyway.
Azoth will be coming out of the house soon to seeking blood. If not yours then anyone else nearby. If you truly regret your actions, you can make the first step to making things right by facing Azoth, despite your exhaustion.
If you could care less about these people and just want to save yourself, you could just run. You still have a few of the "gifts" that Azoth bestowed upon you during your bonding, why lose them and your life for a bunch of peons?
Alternatively, you could kill Azoth anyway. Not for the purpose to defend these pathetic survivors, but more for the purpose of getting revenge on Azoth who put you through a bunch of shit.
