A look of great relief floods over the man's face, an accompanying smile breaking out on his lips. "Yes! Finally!" You blink in surprise as he takes a step closer, then bends forward in a respectful bow as he continues, "The elders had foreseen your coming to this road at sunrise, and sent me here to meet you. I am to be your guide and aid you in your Quest."
Well. Either this guy's an incredibly good actor - something you're actually hoping for - or he genuinely believes in this whole "The One" thing. And who are these "elders", and what's this about a "Quest"?
You survey the road around you, but there seems to be nothing and nobody in you and the strange man's vicinity. No hidden cameras, no camouflaged microphones, no quiet snickers from young pranksters - nothing to indicate this is just one big joke, like you'd been hoping.
