You realize that the entire second half of the story hinges on you getting inside that pod, right? Of course you do. I refuse to believe that you could possibly be that fucking stupid. If you don't get your butt in there, there will be no more story. None. You've seen a plot diagram before, right? The pyramid-type thing where the story leads up to a climax, and the resolves everything? Never does a plot diagram build up to something, only to flatline because the author decided instead to spend the rest of the work talking about nothing in particular.
