Bang

"It doesn't matter if the gas is still on, does it?" Your mother enquires.
"Yes, it does. And to make the circumstances worse, there are open flames in here. Gas and open flames do not go down well." You explain, a little frustrated.
"I'm going to keep trying to get the gas working. We might be able to make some food at least." Your mother says, irritated.
"Why don't you just go to bed. It is 11 o'clock after all. What's the point in staying up until the power comes back on when it's night time and we wouldn't be using the power anyway?"
You walk out of the room, peeved.

All of a sudden, the hissing of the gas gets louder and you stop walking to make sure that you are actually hearing the hissing.

The force of the blast killed your parents on site. You were lucky enough to escape with third degree burns and shrapnel injuries. You stay in hospital for 6 weeks and have to go to rehabilitation to relearn how to use your limbs again.
