The Galactic Adventures of Pierce Darkblade
The world around you is nothing but vast whiteness. You can't see yourself and frankly can barely feel yourself, it's like your floating or flying. You wonder if this is death and you are entering the afterlife; this is how it would begin, as some stories would dictate. All you're really sure of is that you're not sure, floating in this vast white expanse.
You're not sure of the passage of time, but after what seems like one minute, you feel yourself growing heavy to a point where you are immobile. A great force, similar to wind, begins to slam into you at great speeds. The world around you distorts with all sorts of odd colors, swirling and shooting across the expanse. You look at your hand and see its coming back into view, you are reappearing somewhere else.
The forceful winds cease, you pause to get your bearings. Looking around you see you are on the snow covered world of Freevus! This is strange because you decided NOT to go to Freevus, but here you are. You seem to be in the capital city, in some sort of open commune area with poor Freevians walking around. The tall, reptile skinned, orange neon eyed Freevians here seem to live in shanty towns constructed of garbage and scrap metal underneath a massive ceiling held up by great pillars. The ceiling keeps out most of the falling snow, but harsh blizzard winds still blow through this commune, a miserable place for the lower class of Freevus to live you think.
But why are you here on Freevus? You seem to be in conversation with a dignitary of Freevus, garbed in purple robes, and don't understand why you are with a Freevian upper class citizen standing within a lower class place of residency. The conversation is muffled, you cannot hear what he is saying to you at the moment.
The Uozid said something about alternate timelines...You realize what happened. The device in the Uozid pirates possesion must have been some sort of transporting device that sends an object or person through space and time to an alternate universe, one in which you have happened to go to Freevus instead of dock at the Voltorb trade station! What a terrible device to be in the hands of a pirate! Even in this alternate timeline if you're decision is the only thing thats different, than that Uozid must still be at the trade station with that awful device! You must go there to stop him from throwing anyone else into an alternate time line against their will!
Yet something strange is happening...You begin to have amnesia and forget about what you were just thinking about. It was very very important, but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Something about a dangerous pirate and a trade station. It's slipping away now...You start thinking about how you got here. You were...going to sell something? No thats not right. You remember now! You landed on Freevus to complete the mission of good will. The Freevian you are talking to is the defense minister and he was giving you a tour of the capital city! You both ended up walking through the commune and you were disgusted by the living conditions of the lower class Freevians and how they were treated by the upper class! Thats it, you fully remember now and have no memory of that other nonsense in your brain.
The voices around you are now perfectly clear and you now remember what you were going to say to the defense minister.
