Devils
"W-who are you?" The question is out before you can stop yourself but in your mind it was a fair question.
Who just trusts a random stranger anymore? He may have saved your life but why did he want you to follow him, what did he know that you didn't know?
He lets out a humorless laugh taking a gloved hand and placing it over his face. "Does it really matter?"
You're not sure how to answer him.
"Yes." Your reply is firm.
He laughs again, that same hollow miserable sound. He pulls the hat from his head so long black hair falls down over his tanned skin.
"I guess some call me Keats." He tells you with a sarcastic grin, "Killer for higher... this is just a-- side protect to collect some extra cash." He put the hat back on, "Demon killing isn't an easy job but I can't say no the the money... collecting you is just a bonus."
You felt your heart drop at how cold he sounded. "Collecting me?" You repeated, wanting clarification.
He smirked wickedly, "I wouldn't tell you even if I knew, all I know is my boss wants you." You pressed your back into the wall ready to escape only making him laugh at your expense. "I don't care if you're willing or not... I'll drag back a dead body if you fight me."
Should you chance it?
