The neverending story
"If Hyperspace is your desired actions, please push the blue button to your right." It says politely, you turn to your right to see a rather large blue button, it takes some strength but you manage to push it down using the palm of your hand. Nothing happens, the voice suddenly speaks again, startling you. "Hyperspace is a notional space-time continuum in which it is possible to travel faster than light, you may feel a sense of nauseousness, dizziness, or other conditions, due to the speed of this ship. Buckle your seatbelt." You buckle your seatbelt, prepared for what's next. "HYPERSPACE, INITIATED." It buzzes.
Suddenly, through the darkness of the void of space, flashes a huge blue light which completely smothers the ship, and everything suddenly becomes a great blur. From what you've heard, or fragments of those memories, you've heard that it's described as an alternate region of space co-existing with our own universe which may be entered using an energy field or other device. Travel in hyperspace is frequently depicted as faster-than-light travel in normal space,
Hyperspace is sometimes used to enable and explain faster than light (FTL) travel in science fiction stories where FTL is necessary for interstellar travel or intergalactic travel. Spacecraft able to use hyperspace for FTL travel are sometimes said to have a hyperdrive. (You have served me well..Wikipedia..)
Not long after you'd activated the Hyperspace button, you began to feel quite dizzy. Shortly, though, the ship began to gradually slow down, and you began to come across huge planets. All orbiting one massive star, another sun.
Not far from these other planets, are space-stations, such as a huge metal one resembling a planet, but the size of the moon.
