They all entered thier own stalls containing their battle suits. They were two tons in weight, but the alien alloys inside each one could deflect most projectiles that could penetrate two inches of stainless steel. There were enough pockets to carry anything and everything they needed; eight grenade pouches, two sidearm holsters, two heavy weapon carriers, and enough room to carry five clips for each weapon. The suits, called Chameleon Armor Environment Suits, or CASE's, changed color to camoflauge the wearer with any kind of surrounding. Inside the suit, there was a temperature regulating gel that kept the wearer at a constant 70 degree environment, an air purifier that recycled oxygen for up to two hours, and a communication device to allow instructions, warnings, and strategic information to be transmitted from up to thirty miles away.
The four assassins stepped onto the platforms behind their weapons. The mechanical arms holding the black armor went to work attaching the CASE's to each person, covering them in an extra inch of armor, temp gel, and electronics. The armor locked itself together and powered up, extending joint coverings that were almost as strong as the main armor itself. The mirrored visors of the helmets powered up to show a motion tracker of up to forty yards, vital signs, and armor statistics. Having forgotten to turn on the CASE Detecting Mode, Bernice (being in a hurry because she was often the slowest) ran into one of her fellow members. (The CASE Detecting Mode allowed the wearer of a CASE to see other CASE wearers, as the camoflauge system was always active. Alternatively, it also broadcasts the position of the person to other CASE wearers.)
She turned her CASE DM and immediately apologized. "Sorry, uh, whoever that was..."
"Woman! Will you ever remember to turn your DM on before running into someone?!" Alex replied, with a fake tone of anger.
Bernice rolled her eyes, although that had no effect since her head was covered. "Well, you can't seem to go a day without calling me 'woman' at least once!", she replied with a smirk in her tone.
"Are you two ready yet?" David called, "Or should I leave you two alone?"
The conversations Alex and Bernice had in the armory somehow turned into a "should-I-leave-you-two-alone" comment almost every time they suited up, just because David and Morgan happened to be in a relationship.
