The Island of Destiny
You take a deep breath and cast a final look at Sabrina, who bites down on her lip and looks at you with wide eyes. She gives you a final nod and then you enter inside this mysterious tent.
Once inside, you immediately lose all sense of sight as you are faced with complete darkness. You cannot even see your hand in front of your face and you are startled to feel someone brush up behind you. But then a moment later you realize it was just Sabrina.
She places a hand on your shoulder and tells you "Well, lead the way. I don't want to get lost in here though."
You nod, then realizing Sabrina probably couldn't even see that, you move onward into the tent. Just how big is this thing anyway? From the outside it didn't look more than about twenty feet, but you could've sworn you've taken over forty steps now!
All of a sudden you come to a stop. Sabrina stops with you and asks "What is it?"
"Something doesn't feel right here. We've walked way too far to still be in this tent."
A moment's pause. Then...
"You're right."
All of a sudden, the room explodes with a brilliant yellow light that seems to come from above. You and Sabrina quickly raise hands to shield your eyes, then after a moment put down your hands again.
You find yourselves both standing in a new desert, this one full of red sand. Curiously enough, you can still see the walls of the tent far, far off in the distance and as you look into the new atmosphere(?) you find that you can still see the hazy, distant image of the tent canvas hundreds of feet above you.
A voice then calls out, a tremor so audible that you are reminded of an announcer at a sports stadium.
Only there is no technical pitch in this voice and there is no source for this sound. Still you hear it very clearly
"Hello there travelers. Why don't you come and stay a while in the Tent of Red Sands? Go right and you'll meet might, go left and discover what's in the cleft."
Then the voice disappears as abruptly as it started, leaving you and Sabrina left staring stupidly at each other. What should you do?
