The Island of Destiny

You furiously paddle forward using mostly your upper body strength. Your legs also pathetically kick along, but you know that it is your arms doing most of the work. But to your great joy and sudden discomfort, your head brushes up against the muddy bank of the river. In an instant, you throw your hands onto the dry land and in a great heave, you topple onto the bank.

You lie there, panting and not being able to stare away from the waterfall that probably should have consumed you. After taking a minute to rejoice the fact that you're still alive, you now focus your attention on your new jungle surroundings.

You see something that does not look natural peering out from behind some shrubery. You brush aside the plants and are met with yet another curious sight: an old gazebo rusting in the middle of the jungle. However for as much as its age gives it away, you can't help but notice how beautifully it really is sculpted. Back in this structure's prime, it was probably very magnificent.
