Fan Fic: Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?

Mobile is known for having the oldest Mardi Gras celebration in the United States, dating back to 1703 when French colonists began the festivities. Named after Mauvila, a Native American town in the area, Mobile has seen French, Spanish, British, and American rule in its history, and the name Mauvila has been translated from one language to another, ending up as Mobile today.

Mobile's Carnival season begins as early as November with several balls. The parades usually begin after January 5. These parades consist of large, colorful floats carrying masked members (usually belonging to an organization) tossing small gifts, known as throws, to eager parade spectators as the floats roll downtown. Carnival season culminates on Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, usually during mid-February. Mardi Gras parades draw huge crowds and toss the best and rarest throws.

You enjoy the festivities but keep an eye out for clues leading to Sue Aside's whereabouts. You stare at the colorful masks covering the throwers' faces. Could Sue Aside be hiding among them?

Nah. Parties and parades aren't Sue Aside's kind of thing. Plus someone dressed in black would stick out like a sore thumb in these parts. There is no way Sue Aside could be hiding out here.
