Shadowgate

You stare wide-eyed at the massive beast at the end of the chamber. It's mouth surges open and a volley of flame bursts from the gullet. As the flame races towards you along the walls you fumble through the skeleton. Groping for anything of use, you grip the nearest object and hold it in front of your face.

Liquid flame engulfs your body. An instant of agony before death as your eyes instantly disintegrate. Flesh rolls from your bones. Your jaw hinges open to scream but your skull is already melting.
