Time Traveller
"What do we do?" You yell at the woman.
"We do this!" She says back, kicking a cart nearby. The cart is full of logs, and they spill out into the path of the oncoming soldiers. Some of them are knocked over and others dive over them, wielding thier swords and looking angry.
"Quick, this way!" She pulls you by the arm up the battlement stairs.
"Over the wall!" She says. You look over. It is about twenty feet into the moat.
"Are you crazy?" You tell her.
"Maybe!" She replies, shoving you unceremoniously from the wall. You tumble into the moat, and clamber out, spluttering. A second splash tells you that she jumped, and soon she is by your side and pulling you into the forest.
"Where are we going?" You shout.
"To my people! I have hidden a horse around here. We must find it to reach my village."
After some searching, you find the horse and she climbs on. You clamber on behind her, somewhat awkwardly, and you ride off into the forest, heading for her home village.
After hours of riding, the sky is getting dark, and you are tired.
"How much further?" you ask wearily.
"Not far. In fact, we are almost there."
Sure enough, within five minutes, you reach a village much like the one you just left. You are greeted with cheers as you climb off your horse.
"Go and get some rest," the woman tells you. Tomorrow, the attack begins!"
