Time Traveller

"I am from a far land, my friend," you say, your heart racing, "I came here to find shelter and food."

The man lowers his lance.

"You are most strange, but you are welcome here if you are no foe of my lord," he says.

"I assure you, I come only in peace."

"Very well then. Be wary in this land though, for we are at war, and soon the enemy may arrive." The man rides off without another word to you, and you breath a sigh of relief.
