Sonic knew better than to go at a fight without his spiffy sneakers to protect his feet from any velocity related injuries. That and he had an image to keep.
Roll two die and add the total. If the number meets or exceeds Sonic's Luck, he is shocked to learn that someone stole his shoes! If this happens, Sonic suffers a -5 in Speed for all tests and combat, and a -2 in Luck when determining the success of a POW Attack due to lack of momentum. Make note of these handicaps, as they are permanate until Sonic finds his shoes again.
When Sonic arrived back at his resting spot, he saw Tails pulling himself out of the water, soaked to the bone and looking a bit annoyed.
"What happened?"
"A big explosion off in the distance knocked me off my board, and nearly drowned me!" Tails explained. "Then the water started to smell bad and become thick and purple."
Sonic stood and stared at the smoke billowing from the horizon. He wondered if this had something to do with the Badniks, or if there was something more sinister going on.
He briefly considered to stay and scope out the situation. But he knew the longer Moto Bug and the gang were left unchecked, the more likely something worse will happen.
