The demon scam
You gulp slightly, but decide to not show the demon that you're nervous. "You're probably right," you say with a pale grin.
"Off course I am," Naria says, flicking her tail.
"Do you want to tag along with me for a while?" you offer. "My sister is just over there."
Naria lifts an eyebrow, probably wondering why your sister isn't with you, but she says nothing.
Merle is still hiding behind the rock where you left her and she lifts her head to look at you when you return. "Come on," you say, take her hand and lead her back to the waiting cat demon.
"This is Merle," you say. "Merle, meet Naria." Naria flashes a feline grin at her. "Hi there, sweetie." Merle's eyes widen at her tail and ears, but she says nothing, keeping close you you.
Naria starts walking again and you follow. You sure are in luck... but perhaps you want to stay on your guard..? She IS a demon after all.
