The demon scam
You force Merle down on the ground. "Stop fighting!" you say angrily. "We're staying here!"
Merle is crying now. "Let me goooo! I wanna go home!"
Annoyed, you prop her up against one of those blue rock formations. "Keep quiet. I need to think."
"I'm going home without you!" Merle threatens, and you roll your eyes. As if.
But Merle touches the rock behind her and instantly, it starts to shimmer with the same glow you saw back in the forest.
You gape, totally stunned. "What the..!? YOU openened up the portal here by yourself?"
Merle sticks out her tongue to you and then throw herself through the portal.
"No, wait!" You leap after her, but the portal is closed and you smack into the rock. Confused, angry, scared and hurting, you just stare at the rock she disappeared through. What kind of power has she, really!?
Don't worry... she'll be back for you when she's calmed down. Hopefully...
