Ice Wolves

You order everyone to stay calm and huddle together. Everyone stares fearfully at the door, most holding their breath. Suddenly, you hear a large sigh and you look at Amanda. She had held her breath way too long. You try to reassure her. "It's just a practical joke," you tell her, but you aren't so sure.

TWO HOURS LATER:

You look at your watch. It is 3:00 in the morning. Nothing has happened. You figure it must have been a prank and look outside. You see nobody, nothing outside. You turn to leave when you notice something. Large, animal-like tracks are pressed into the snow, and they come up to the window, the door, and around to the back of the cabin. You want to know what it is, but you are afraid to find out.
