You head back to Altberg and take the opportunity to tell your parents goodbye first.
"But why do you have to go? You should stay here and settle down with that Brenda girl!" your mom says while hugging you.
"Aw mom! I have to go, I got things to do."
"Huh! Probably something shady no doubt oh well. I suppose in light of recent events you proved that you're alright when you want to be. Be careful son and thanks for what you did to help save the village."
You think that's the closest that your dad has ever come to praising you. You feel a little warm and fuzzy inside.
Before you leave, your mom insists on giving you some food for wherever your journeys take you. Replenish your RATIONS up to 10 if you wish.
After leaving your parent's you go to where Brenda is working. Fortunately her father isn't around. You briefly can't believe that you're still worried about some old man with a crossbow after all the other things you've faced. Then again, you've had constant bad experiences with folks with crossbows!
"Hey can't really talk right now. I'm trying to fix this bow." Brenda says.
"Oh, well I just thought I'd tell you that I'm leaving."
Brenda stops and looks up from her work.
"Already? I mean I figured you'd leave, but not so soon "
"Actually I wish I could stick around longer, but I got things to do you know how it is."
"Yeah I know. You're not meant to settle down. Just be careful okay?"
"Hey it's me. I'm always careful." You say a smile.
Brenda embraces and kisses you once more before you leave. You reciprocate until you catch Brenda's father out the corner of your eye holding a shiny new crossbow that he's apparently been working on. He's not pointing it at you, but you take the evil eye he's giving you as a sign to stop slobbering on his daughter and leave the shop.
You wave goodbye to Brenda and head to her house to pick up any of your stuff before leaving. You can still leave things here if you wish since you're fairly confident that it'll still be here if you ever should return one day.
With that last action, you leave your home again.
