The twisted little gnome finally falls and his nasty squirrel army disperses. This had to be one of the stranger fights you've had, but it's over now.
The gnome didn't have anything of obvious value, though a quick search reveals a green wooden ring in a pouch he had. It's pretty much worthless unless it's magical and of course you won't be able to tell if it's magical unless you wear it, so being a reckless adventurer you put the ring on and feel the effectsÂ…
You notice you're blending in with your surroundings, but you feel a little drained so you take it off. You understand how the gnome could've gone relatively unnoticed in his vandalism. Given the drain it causes though, you also see why he didn't wear it while fighting you.
You may take the Chameleon Ring if you wish. You won't be wearing it on a regular basis though as the ring drains your stamina when it's used for a long length of time. (You keep it in your backpack) Still, it may come in handy in particular situations.
You return to the village, dragging the gnome's body as proof of your deed. The village certainly has a lot of faith in you now and hopefully morale will improve in general.
