Upon your last strike, Azoth roars one last time and collapses. You've successfully killed him and all the tormented souls of this village he was using for his plan have been freed. Most notably your wife and son. You say a few parting words to them, hoping that they're listening from wherever they are.

You leave the room and are happy to find out that you're not being attacked by more undead. You exit the ruins and seal up the trapdoor hoping that nobody will go exploring down there again, even if Azoth is gone now. You're ready to leave this place behind for good.
