Final Quest

"I think that we should enter the cave now," you say. "If we wait until nightfall, it'll take too much time."
"Then I'll go first," the green dragon immediately volunteers.
"Why?" you ask him. "There's no point."
"Still, I think I'd better go in first," Torai replies. "It'll be safer. You don't know what sort of traps there might be."
You bristle slightly at the implied notion that you can't take care of yourself. But Alasse lays a gentle hand on your arm.
"He has a point," she tells you. "The green dragon's a lot older than both of us, so he's bound to know more about avoiding traps. It is really the only safe option."
"Fine," you mutter.
"Glad to see you agree," Torai grins, clearly enjoying your bad mood. Then, without any hesitation, he walks up to the entrance of the cave.
Suddenly, a burst of flame shoots out of the entrance, and wraps itself around the green dragon's body.
"TORAI!" you scream in horror.
Torai's eyes meet yours. -Go,- he mouths to you. -The flames won't harm you.- And then, he blows you a mock kiss.
You stick your tongue out at him, and stamp into the cave with Alasse following you. After a few moments, the green dragon comes in as well. You don't bother to ask him how he managed to get away from the flames so easily.
The inside of the cave is nothing less than amazing. Crystalline drops of water hang from the ceiling and walls, and green moss grows interspersed with the frozen water.
Taken so suddenly with the cave, you fail, at first, to notice the man standing in one corner of the cave, watching you with beady, suspicious black eyes.
Did you and Alasse eat the fruit?
