Forest Dweller

You get closer and closer to the shard, feeling almost as though you are facing death itself. Of course you've already done that, so you're feeling a bit more confident. An instant before it hits you, you push your body to the side with a small amount of energy, spin and slice it with the nail you swiped. Your aim is true, and you break it in two.

Unfortunately, it seems there was a side effect that Venach didn't tell you about. As soon as it becomes severed, what looks like a small black hole appears. It pulsates once, then expands at an alarming rate, washing over you.
Venach hovers before you as a writhing mass of black energy as the darkness begins to wash over over your vision. It appears as though he has covered himself up again.

"My second weapon. You see the only way to stop the first one would be to destroy it, and that activates the second one." His next words get softer and softer as you are pulled out of reality and into the giant hole, but you still hear every last one.
"Survive the deepest, darkest regions of space... where only one thing dwells. Finite Omega, The Wanderer. Get back here in one piece... or perhaps several, and you'll see what comes next."

All light is pulled away from your sight, and replaced with a deep, thick darkness. You can't even see your hand in front of your face. You close your eyes, but even then you cannot tell the difference. You attempt to call upon your powers to light up the area, but fail. It seems you are too far away from earth to tap into them. Still, you are one with everything, right?

You feel another power at your fingertips- cosmos.

Not wasting any time, you tap into it.
You feel a strange feeling of coolness enter your feet, then legs, then finally your entire body. Your eyes adapt to the darkness immediately, but the only thing that helps is allowing you to see your own physical body. There are no stars around, it appears as though you are billions of light years apart from any spot where even a small speck of light would be visible in the distance. You can still breathe, for some reason. Perhaps this area of space actually has oxygen, although you are not sure if this is even possible.

Well, there's not much else you can do besides wait for Finite-whatever to come along... although you doubt you have any chance of beating it. Your powers won't work- only the cosmos are at your command. There are no asteroids or matter to manipulate, either, and even if you were able to tap into a star, it would take too long to bring it to where you were to tap into its core components.

This just leaves time. Time seems to stand still in this place. But it still exists, and you hope it is on your side. Venach could be attacking the village even now. You propel yourself forward as best you can, but without anything to tap into you end up simply waving your arms, and that doesn't help much.

You sense a power coming your way... a power perhaps even greater than Venach, a power you know you wouldn't stand a chance against. Something tells you fleeing is the best option for now... yet what will that accomplish? You're sure it knows you are here, and meeting it head-on might be a better solution.

You're sure this thing has the ability to transport you back to Venach. You can't force it, so the only other option is to try and reason with it. Yet the closer it comes, the more doubt creeps into your mind.

It isn't even near you yet, but already it is beginning to block your view of space. You don't even know what it looks like yet... but this thing only reminds you that time still exists, and it is running out for both you and the village.
