Forest Dweller

FINAL BATTLE: STAGE 4- Awakening: Fate's Eternity
---------------------------------------

"I am Venach. You have a right to know my true name before you die. Now, fight me, if you think you can actually-"
"Get on with it already, what's your point?" You say, softly.
"Impudent little- fine, I'll make you beg for mercy! FEEL THE WRATH OF YOUR DESTINY!"
"Destiny? You are my destiny? No, my destiny lies elsewhere. If you are indeed my destiny, then I will change fate."
"You have been destined to die. It has been written in the books where I came from."
"Which would be where?"
"A place you haven't heard of- we've watched the earth and we knew about you-"
"Then why were you so surprised at my power? Surely your data-"
"Our data was wrong, but it means nothing-"
"If your data said I was destined to die but underestimated my power, why do you expect me to trust its accuracy?"
"ENOUGH!" Venach screamed, a giant red eye with a yellow pupil emerging from his stomach.

You can truly see this thing now, the darkness no longer hides him from your eyes. He looks like a flying reptile- he has bright, silver wings, scales across his body and a long tongue. His tail is made up of pure darkness, and the rest of his body seems to be covered by it. His head looks like that of a lizard. His black eyes stare deep into yours, and you stare back, unafraid. There is uncertainty within him. You can sense it. His wings suddenly shine black and extend, his red, bloody claws growing as well. He leaps at you with twice the speed Ayla did. Only your new sight allows you to see this bullet-fast movement and dodge it in time. He clutches his sword with his bloody talons and swings at you, and you immediately leap off of the ground, propelled by the wind.

His black sword looks alive- it has a giant, gaping, toothless mouth in the center of it. A tongue slides out of it and lashes back and forth like a snake. You bring your hand forward and summon a vast amount of light energy, shooting it from your fist and covering him in it.

He screams in agony and leaps back as quickly as he came, slicing through the air with his sword as a torrent of threads fly out of the mouth. They come at you in intricate patterns but you have no difficulty dodging them; you gently fly through the air, cutting through a few of them when they get in your way with a stream of fire from your fingertips. The elements are yours now, to control. No... to be a part of. You land in front of him and he vanishes, appearing behind you. You surprise him by appearing behind him as well, shooting a knuckle into his back. It feels squishy and gross, and black threads hurt your arm as you pull out your fist and leap back. You shake it off, looking at the hole you made. It bleeds blue blood but he seems not to notice, he comes at you with a second assault.

"I have three fatal attacks... dodge them and survive and we'll see what happens next." With that he reaches into his mouth, cutting up some of it in the process with his claw, and pulls out a long, black needle. He drops it to the ground and it lifts up, hovering.

"This is the needle of death. Angel, human or god, it will kill instantly. It drains away any and all power within your body when it makes contact, and shrivels up the skin with a heat as powerful as the sun, in a concentrated area. It absorbs all elements thrown at it, the only thing that can destroy it is my own claw.

"Very well. Let's go." You say softly, bracing yourself. The needle shoots at you, ripping through the air even quicker than his earlier assault. It almost hits you but you vanish just in time, appearing a few inches to the right of its destination. It flies by you, then doubles back, going straight for you again. Venach is nowhere in sight. If you are going to use his claw to destroy this thing, you will need to find him. But where to look? There is only two places he could be... underground or in the sky extremely high. Breaking through the ground would release the element of earth, which the needle would absorb... that might make it quicker and perhaps more deadly- although you are not sure how that would be possible, you know it is an option.

The sky would be riskier still, an attack could come from anywhere and knock you off guard just long enough for the needle to strike.

Something tells you either way could work, if you played your cards right.
There are two ways to go now... which will you decide upon?

You have 2 choices:
