So, you choose to ignore your only chance of rescue from this slow and painful death? It's okay to be stubborn, but this is going a little too far. Unfortunately, the island doesn't give second chances...
You sink deeper into the sand. Your heart beats rapidly when you notice it's getting harder and harder to breath. Soon you won't be able to breath at all. As the sand piles on top of your head, you only have to suffer for a few minutes before you pass out and die from lack of oxygen.
Your last clear thought is "So it was my destiny to be buried alive?" A few moments later, you're dead.
