Forest Dweller

You survey the area, immediately noticing something strange. The rotten flesh of each corpse has melted into disgusting pools on the ground. Leaning down to look at the reflection it portrays, you see the face of the creature you just slayed, grinning wickedly before becoming larger and larger, then shooting out of the puddle. It reaches for your arm as it rises which you instinctively pull away, then as the puddle gets smaller and the flesh re-forms itself, it leaps all the way out and lands on its legs. You then turn to see that all of them are up and ready for more action- killing these things, it appears, is impossible. Knowing that the only way is to lure them into the other passageway, you continue your battle backwards, keeping all of them in your sight as you back up faster and faster. Eventually they stop, howl in pain and run back to the room like dogs. You soon discover why. The scent coming from the garden is unimaginably wonderful. Well, the only path is now clear...
