The Island of Destiny
You wait with the others for your breakfast. The others all have very loud and annoying voices and they never shut up. You doubt that they can even hear what anyone else is saying.
You feel your stomach growl again and once again, wonder when your mom's going to come back. You know she will, but for some reason there's always that fear in the back of your mind that something bad will happen and she'll die. After that, what would happen to you and the others? You tremble at the thought of it.
But of course, your imagination is just playing tricks on you again and your mom does come back. As you and all your siblings gather up to her, she starts to give out the food to everyone.
The annoying ones with the loudest voices always get their's first. You are more quiet and secluded so you are one of the last ones to get your food. But when you do, it's the best part of your day. Happily, you take the yummy morsel from her mouth and slowly savor the taste.
