The Spartans

You and Nathan walk down the street together until you come upon your legion. Around 500 men stood in perfect ranks. All of the Spartan soldiers are fully decked out in their standard battle gear (armor, shield, helment, spear, and sword) You and Nathan both jump into ranks. It is not long before your general approaches. "SPARTANS! I have received our orders! We are to be split into two groups. I will take 300 men to the Great Plain. It is there where we expect most of the fighting; however, i will need a volunteer to take the remaining 200 men to the mountain pass beside the plain to protect out flanks! Do i have any volunteers?" The general pauses and looks around.
