Forest Dweller

"The entire basket?!" Urel's eyes light up. "You must be like in love with Ayla!"
"What?"
"Oh please, we all know you don't care about these things."
"Do you want the money or not?" You say impatiently.
"Oh of course, of course! Our little secret!" You roll your eyes and give him the money, then take the basket. The light given off by the flowers is spectacular. You check the number of flowers but can't count them- they blend together so well they look like a giant, white, glowing plant.

You look for Ayla, really hoping Urel won't tell anyone. You wouldn't want any rumors going around. The light of the flowers lights your way, and you quickly see a figure illuminated in the distance. It seems to be coming from the town pond, one of Ayla's favorite places to relax at night. You once stayed up all night talking by that pond. You realize it IS her, and go over to meet her. She is looking around in wonder as the light shimmers off the pond she is staring at. She notices you and runs over, staring at the flowers in awe.
"An entire basket of illumitus flowers... i've never seen anything like it! I'm sure glad I came out here tonight!" She looks on in absolute wonder.
"Close your eyes and hold out your hands." She smiles, and does so- most likely thinking she would get one or two flowers or something else. But as you place the basket in her hands, and she opens her eyes- looking at the countless flowers within, she looks up at you in amazement.
"Adam, do you know how much this is worth? Aren't you just holding this for someone- you can't give it to me, can you?"
"I bought them with the money Elk gave me."
"50? You could sell these for 500!"
500? Elk wouldn't sell these to you for such a low price, unless he was told to. Maybe for saving the village?

"I don't know how I got them for such a cheap price, but what matters is I want to give them to you."
"All- all of them? I'd be happy with just one!"
"Calm down!" You laugh. "I don't have much that I could do with them besides the one thing I am doing now. Do you want them?"
"S...sure!"
"Then it's settled!" She takes them and looks at them, smiling widely.
"I've always wanted to fall asleep to their light. Now I can... thank you, truly Adam. You can come over to my house to look at them anytime you want, really!" She smiles and gives you a peck on the cheek, then runs off to her house. (Ayla's affection points rise by 25!)

You head off for home and also your bed.
