Forest Dweller
"Let's see... of course, you do not know all of them. Let me see... they are few, but they are enforced. The actual laws are hard to understand due to their ancient language, so I will translate.
1. Elves must remain in the village. Entrance to the outside world is not allowed, lest we lose our ties to the woods.
2. Elves may not marry humans.
3. Elves have the choice of marriage in their life.
4. Speaking to the wood must be done in respect.
5. You must never harm the woods.
6. Violence will result in being banned from the village- elves live in peace with one another. Only in protecting the village may you take up arms.
7. The grand sage of the elves may change these laws at any time.
8. Age difference does not matter in marriage.
9. Anyone can marry anyone else, unless they are in the same family. However only one partner may be allowed, and breaking the bond that is shared will result in the death of both.
10. Do not speak ill of the laws. You may disagree, but disobeying any of them will result in you leaving the woods.
That is all of them, but there have been some cases in which they were broken and the elves still allowed to stay. The laws are made to protect the village- not to stop our choices. We must remember this."
You hear a strange clicking far away. You hear Ayla gasp, and there is a moment of silence. "In this place, I can hear the wood very well. It tells me... that humans have come to destroy the barrier. Adam, Elves are not allowed to exit the village where the barrier stands, but you are. You must go, quickly! The future of the village is at stake. We shall talk later. Hurry!" You dress in a hurry and exit the springs, heading towards the portion of the woods the barrier is located.
(For each subject you talked to Ayla about, her affection for you went up 1 point. Remember how many you talked about and add this up for the final ending later on.)
