Legend

You continue your time at being the "security" of the soup kitchen. Not surprisingly, this isn't the thing you had in mind when you became an "adventurer"; then again being bonded to a demon isn't either.

Patricia comes up to talk to you.

"You've been doing a good job at keeping the peace around here."
"Um, yeah."
"No really, this place really was a handful sometimes. I mean most of these people aren't necessarily the best behaved. It's not really their fault, it's the environment. The greedy Baron and other rich bastards just continue getting fatter and never make an effort to make things better in this city. I've been sensing an air of rebellion though lately, and I can't say it wouldn't surprise me."
"Rebellion huh? What're you going to do when that happens?"
"Lock up the doors and try to protect as many people as possible I suppose. If it does happen I hope I can count on you to be here to help too." Patricia says

"Oh if chaos is around you can count on us to be here." Azoth remarks, and you nearly tell him to shut up, but you stop yourself from doing so.

"I'm sure we'll…I mean I'll be around." You state.
"Good, because I really like having you around. You make this place feel much safer."

Patricia gives you a smile and returns to her duties. She's right in that this place is safer and the people are more well behaved than they were when you first entered this place. But you get the impression its because they're afraid of you. You used to get strange looks before, but now most people are just outright avoiding you, like they know something is wrong with you. Though Patricia shows no signs of being worried about you, so maybe you're just imagining things…but you probably aren't.

"Yeah, I think that little do-gooder serving wench has a crush on you. I think we need to follow up on that like right now."
"I know what you think."
"Trust me, you really don't, because if you did, you'd be vomiting right now. Heh heh! Anyway I think we still need to wait for her, it'll be all the more sweeter if she comes to us of her own free will, rather than our charms. In the meantime, let's go get ourselves that whore I suggested awhile back."
"Don't think so."
"Come on! Patricia's going to be closing up for the night anyway soon, it's not like we're going to be on the clock as it were."
