Legend

Well, if you're going to fight evil you might as well use it against itself and from what you know, the Syndicate are almost as bad, but efficient. You approach the woman who continues to watch the thief on the other side of the tavern. She knows you're there though.

"So, holy man what do you need, make it quick, and don't get in my line of sight of that thief over there." She says still not looking at you.
"How do you know I need something from you?"
"Well, I doubt you came here to preach. I expect even a Priest of the One True God would know better than to come in here to do that."
"True. You all do seem pretty hopeless in here, whatever despicable deeds you've done, or will do in the future you will eventually answer for in the afterlife."
"I'm sure we will Holy Man, now are you going to tell me what you want or are you going to pay for wasting my time by meeting the afterlife ahead of schedule?"

This is the first time she looks at you, and her eyes display dead seriousness about what she's said. Judging by her scars she's probably more than capable of backing up her threat, but you aren't here for that so you get down to business.

"I'm here because I need a guide in the sewers."
"For what purpose?" she asks.
"An evil cult. The Dark One's followers have a large headquarters there and I'm trying to find it."
"Well, this your lucky day holy man. Normally I, let alone the Syndicate wouldn't be concerned with such trivial matters, but currently I'm on a mission of my own down in the sewers. I've been trying to locate the blasted Thieves Guild, but haven't had much luck. I've even tried following that one over there, but somehow he keeps disappearing and I lose him. When I tried to back track where he might be, I ended up coming across a bunch of weird hooded cultist types entering some secret passage, they didn't look like the friendly sort. They were carrying the dead body of some woman."
"Sounds like it could be them!"
"Probably is. I was going to report my findings to the Syndicate, since we are planning on taking over the sewers completely. We already have enough trouble with the Guild; we'd rather not have to deal with a bunch of religious fanatics too. If your group is dedicated to wiping them out, then that's less work for us."
"So does that mean you'll take me there?"
"Well it means I have to go down there anyway, so I might as well get something out of it."
"So how much are we talking?"
"Well since I know you Church types aren't exactly the richest, I'll just ask 20 gold for thisÂ…and a favor."
"What kind of favor?"
"Ah ah ah! You'll find that out when I ask it of you. Might not be today, might not be tomorrow, but I will ask you for one. I'd say this is a reasonable price for rooting out a powerful evil that is directly opposing you. Oh don't worry the favor won't be anything too against your church doctrine. Besides you can always ask for forgiveness afterwards right? And one more thing, I'm just leading you there, don't expect me to help, if you decide to go all crusader on the place."

The Syndicate woman goes back to watching the thief across the room, leaving you to ponder your decision.

If you don't have 20 gold you can give her what you do have and a valuable item such as a gem.
