The other priests that have come out are a little hesitant to attack you, but are certainly ready to defend themselves if need be. The people you were talking to, as well as other onlookers have never seen anything like it before. Any doubt that the One True God doesn't provide strength is gone from most of them, everyone's just staring at you waiting for you to speak.

This isn't without its drawbacks, though. Your actions caused the City Watch to start giving grief to the Church. While subtle religious rivalry is expected, the government doesn't want a minor holy war on its hands. As a result some heavy fines are placed on the Church for "Disturbing the Peace". Alberto chews you out a bit stating that the Church doesn't need this kind of trouble especially when its barely trying to survive as it is.
