Mysterious Wonder

You wake up dazed and sleepy, with a searing pain across your body. You look down and notice that you suffer burn marks from head to toe. It looks as though it is a miracle you are still alive. However, you are not sure you exactly you are. As you try to remember, faint pains flash into your forehead and you immediately turn your attention to other things. As you look around, you notice that you are in a forest; however the trees, shrubs and bushes are burnt to a crisp. It seems that no wildlife is anywhere nearby, not even worms or insects. Without the lushness of the trees hindering your view, you realize that far to the east is a town, while far to the west appears to be a spring. While going to the spring would help relax you, you may want to get your wounds taken care of as soon as possible. On the other hand, as you cannot remember who you are, going into the town may prove hazardous if you are wanted or disliked.
