The Island

You sheepishly walk over to the woman in 9A and ask if you can switch seats with her since it looks like she'll be sleeping through the flight anyway. She looks you over for a second then agrees.

"You know, I'm scared of flying anyway, being near the emergency exit will comfort me. Thanks for the suggestion."

You take your seat and begin to stow your overhead luggage when the captain comes over the intercom.

"Welcome passengers to flight 891 flying from Miami Florida to Guyana, the length of the flight is approximately two hours and fifteen minutes making our arrival time 10:15 PM. Please enjoy the flight, the flight attendant will be to your seat shortly to attend to any needs you might have. See you on the other side!"

That was an odd signing off, you think to yourself, however you haven't finished stowing your overhead luggage and he has flashed the seatbelt sign. Should you continue stuffing or give up and hold your knapsack on your lap?
