Hall of Infinite Doors
You lower the tip of the sword. You feel that you have to trust them. You know that you may never get another chance like this, a chance to get out of this terrible world. You sheathe your weapon and walk forward. The man gives you a faint smile and sighs. He hands you the golden key.
"Follow me." he walks ahead. You follow the man for a long time, how many hours you are not sure. Eventually you come to a rocky hillside. The man walks up to a boulder, and with an incredible feat of strength, he pushes it aside. The yellow glow of the golden door immediately pierces the gloomy darkness.
The blood red sword burns into your eyes. You look at the man and he nods at you and points at the door. You walk forward and insert the golden key into the keyhole. You turn it twice. It clicks. You reach for the handle and open the way home.
Darkness. You peer in the doorway, but you see nothing. You are startled by a sudden shove from behind, and you tumble into the door.
A terrible, screeching sound reaches your ears, then the sound similar to that of laughing hyenas makes you very afraid. You look to see the man, standing in the doorway, his shape slowly changing until he reveals the most hideous creature you have ever seen.
The Vrylokas around you kill you too quickly for you to do anything else.
